13th January - Novice Cocker Trial

What a beautiful day to be out, after all the rain and dull weather, the skies were blue, the sun shone and a great day was had by all. Matt Smith took the field off into some fodder beet to start the day where the team caught up with a few birds, followed by a stint in a wooded area. A quick stop to re-group while Matt and the judges conferred and then proceeded to more fodder beet, where we caught up with plenty of birds and the Trial was over. The judges, Jack Iliffe and Graham Burton commented on the very high standard of dog work, with the following worthy award winners.
